Accessibility statement
Shalvina wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to read its information and book an appointment easily.
Target level
The site is designed to comply with Israeli Standard SI 5568, based on WCAG 2.0 level AA, in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013. Compliance must be confirmed by an audit before launch. [to be completed: audit result and date]
Adjustments made
- Hierarchical heading structure, one main heading per page and navigation landmarks.
- A link to skip directly to the main content.
- Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator.
- Language and reading direction declared on every page (Hebrew right to left, French and English left to right); phone numbers isolated so they read correctly.
- Alternative text for informative images.
- Colour contrast checked for main text.
- Layout adapted to mobile devices and to text enlargement up to 200%.
- Frequently asked questions that expand using native browser elements; reduced animation when the system requests it.
- No sound or video that plays automatically.
Known limitations
- PDF brochures: their accessibility (tagging, reading order) has not yet been checked. On request, their content can be sent to you in another format.
- [to be completed: other limitations identified during the audit]
Accessibility of the clinics
[to be completed: access, lift, accessible parking and accessible toilets at Arava Medical Center (Giv’at Shmuel) and at the Netanya clinic]
